Our Bowflex Max Trainer M5 Review

The M5 promises to burn more calories than a treadmill can in just 14 minutes. It weighs 300 pounds and costs $1599 and engages the upper body. It burns 280 calories in just 14 minutes, and if you target more, you can run another 14 or so.

The machine is perfect for when you don’t have the time to run out and still need to workout your upper body. The M5 has virtually zero impact, and your joints will experience less pain.

It comes with 16 levels of resistance, which can be manually adjusted using the turn dial. The burn rate indicator display and target zone tell you how many calories you’re burning each minute. You can set the activity level throughout the workout using the display to meet your target needs.

The backlit display screen makes it attractive, and you can view it in the dark too and eight built-in workout programs which are Max Interval, Smart Max Interval, Calorie Burn, Fat Burn, Fitness Test, and more.

You can keep track of your workout goals and progress, using a free app, the MaxTrainer(R) app, that works with both Apple iOS and Android devices. The machine also has a Bluetooth 4.0 enabled console which helps store and sync your workout results.

There is a chest strap included to help monitor your heart rate, or you can use the contact grip sensors. Some basic features include a water bottle holder and media shelf to store your tablet.

The M5 provides the physical challenge of resistance, stepping motion and an upper body workout combined that directs the movement from the handlebars.

This combination provides excellent workout with in-home comfort. For those seeking to lose weight or exercise their muscles can now easily do so with less strain on their wallet.

Bowflex comes with a two-year warranty for the M5.
